Mother’s Day Shoot

I recently had the pleasure of styling this beautiful mother and daughter combo with the fun 50’s in mind. Emma got in touch because she wanted a unique experience to treat her mother and celebrate the wonderful bond between them. So what better way than spend an afternoon with The Decidedly Vintage Co and Muse Portraits being pampered and getting in front of the camera creating these wonderful images and memories that will last a life time.

Emma and her mother Glenda booked a Hayworth shoot (suitable for two to three ladies) and opted to go with a 1950’s theme. This meant lots of petticoats and polka dots. We had great fun creating victory rolls and pomps, although we could have gone overboard with all the floral additions to the hair. I created the iconic 50’s look of winged eyeliner and red lips which give you an instant vintage feel. We had a range of accessories on offer including the fabulous lace gloves Emma can be seen wearing in some of the shots.

All the outfits and accessories were available to buy enabling Emma and Glenda to carry on the fun and feeling beautiful even after they left the studio.

“Thank you so much, Mum and I are so pleased with the images and it is so lovely to have a memento of the day and something for us to treasure as mum and daughter…”   Emma
